Exhibitor Comments Markex Cape 2008

“It was a brilliant show,” confirms Jeremy Behrmann, business development manager of Red Zebra. “We were given a really good spot to promote our work and we experienced a high level of interaction with visitors.

“The atmosphere and camaraderie between the exhibitors was fantastic. Visitor turnover was good and the show was very well managed.

“We made some good contacts – which is what it is all about. We plan to be in Johannesburg next year.”

Tie Weavers was at both Markex Gauteng in June, and Markex Cape this August. Graham Spiro, Tie Weavers managing director, says: “Although the Cape show was much smaller than Markex Gauteng, we secured some very interesting leads, which I am very happy with.

“Many of the visitors to our stand were existing customers, but about 30 percent of visitors gave new leads which we are now following up”

“I would definitely recommend that marketers in the Cape — as well as those in Gauteng - visit Markex to get a comprehensive idea of what is on offer from the marketing and media industry.’

“My visit to Markex Cape showed me that there is so much more out there than we realized. We saw a whole range of new products and services that we can offer to our clients, from novel promotional items like badges to big, blow-up display stands and more - things we didn’t even know existed.
