Returning to Cape Town for the first time in three years, Markex World of Events Cape 2011 promises the same one-of-a-kind showcase of marketing and events products and services last seen in Cape Town in 2008 by nearly 3 500 visitors.

Markex provides visitors with a comprehensive and dynamic showcase of leading suppliers to the marketing, promotions and special events and associated industries.

With 96 exhibitors in 2008, Markex Cape was an unrivalled opportunity for marketers to stock up on ideas, concepts, inspirations and contacts for the year ahead. The show attracted 3 437 visitors when it was last staged in Cape Town, with 87% of visitors reporting that they made or influenced a purchasing decision at the show.

With many corporate headquarters housed in Cape Town, it's no surprise that the show met with such an overwhelmingly positive response, and that 96% of visitors were drawn from the Western Cape. The top business activities listed by visitors in 2008 were suppliers, promotion and promotional gift companies, event management companies and advertising agencies, indicating the targeted nature of the audience.

Visitors – don't miss all the value-added features at this year’s show:

  • Over 120 exhibitors - connecting buyers and sellers of promotional gifts, corporate clothing, branding, eventing products and services, and much, much more.
  • The AdVantage SME Village - an interactive area in which Cape Town's small and medium size businesses will showcase their brand new products and services.
  • A unique 'Trade Only' section - a controlled-access area for wholesalers to connect exclusively with resellers. Only bona fide trade buyers are allowed access into this area, having been pre-qualified by the exhibitors or organisers.

In a concerted drive to ensure exhibitors of quality visitors, non-ticket holders to the show will be required to pay a R30 entrance fee. Please note that no students and schools or children under the age of 18, prams, babies or toddlers will be allowed access due to the fact that this is a Trade Show.

Student Day:
Access for students is limited to the final day of the exhibition, Thursday 25th August, and is by prior arrangement with the organisers. Only students enrolled in marketing-related fields of study will be allowed access on this date, and only to the general area of the show. Students are required to download and complete an application form from the Markex cape website to gain access on Student Day.

Markex Cape is a bi-annual event organised by Specialised Exhibitions. It was last held in 2008 and was not held in 2010 due to the soccer.
